Kiwi

Kiwi is one of the most famous Melbourne Cup winners of all time. He won the race in 1983 coming from a long last last with a withering burst down the Flemington straight. He was trained by New Zealand dairy farmer called ‘Snowy’ Lupton, who reportedly rode Kiwi while rounding up herds of cows as part of his training program.
